Crochet Projects: Zombie Mushrooms

I made up some more Christmas presents using my crocheting skills.  I found a basic pattern for a mushroom and then adapted it to make . . . Zombie Mushrooms!

Originally they were going to be happy mushrooms, but I had a craft supply issue that resulted in these zombie mushrooms.  I think they are more awesome than what I originally planned.

I love crocheting plushies.  There is a wealth of online patterns available if you search for them. Happy searching!

Crochet Table Runner

I recently made a crochet table runner that I think turned out rather nice.  I picked the blocks out from 200 Crochet blocks for blankets, throws, and afghans by Jan Eaton.  Its a great book.  I'd really recommend it if you like to crochet.  It has lots of patterns, but is flexible enough that you can do your own thing with it.  It has regular crochet blocks and blocks in the round.  I actually prefer working in the round . . . I make less mistakes for some reason.  I had having to pull stuff out and go back!  Anyway,  so I pick out a nice block and did it in two color combination, picked out and edge and then sewed it all together.
The whole thing = 1.5 ft (about)

In the end I think it was worth the hours I put into it.  There was a good amount of time involved.  Not a huge amount, but enough.

White Rabbit

I like to crochet and found a great free pattern for The White Rabbit.  It was a quick and easy pattern and I think it turned out quite nice, what do you think?

I also recommend giving the whole Etsy shop a look it has some pretty great stuff in it.

Mr. Funky's Super Crochet Wonderful

I love crocheting.  Its easy and you can make neat stuff.  I got bored of scarves really fast and I just don't have the patients for afghans etc.  This led me to seek out new and interesting patterns.  I already posted about the really neat zombie I made, but not all toys need to be creep.  Mr. Funky's Super Crochet Wonderful is a great book with a lot of very simple stuffed animal patterns and some scarves, hats etc.  I've made quite a few patterns from it.

For instance these awesome hamsters for my friends Colleen and Jon!

Yumm . . . Brains

I love crocheting and I am always looking for fun new projects. I love making things rather than accruing a great and great number of scarves. Upon discovering the creepy cute book I knew I needed to make a zombie for nagem!

Crochet Zombie

This pattern was surprisingly confusing, but it turned out in theend. I had to adjust the pattern due to the fact that I used different sized yarn then recommended. I would not have been able to figure out how to attach the hair without the help of the authors website. I did not buy the special hairpin, but instead used a piece of cardboard that I cut to size. this worked quite well and was inexpensive. I will attempt more patterns from this book despite it being more difficult than anticipated!
