I am now a PhD candidate, yay! (this is not the creep kind of candidacy that I didn't sign up for an my end with me dying violently on an island) The exam wasn't too bad and I was only dense a couple of times during my wonderful 3 hour test.
For my exam I mad some chocolate mochi (recipe from the
Koda Farms site). I ended up cooking mine two minutes less than suggested to keep it from getting too stiff. The recipe was good, but not great. If I made this again I would definitely use milk instead of water to make the mochi taste richer.

They had a mild dark chocolate taste and were very delicate and soft. |
